Well i'm off for the weekend and I have my lovely kids with me, so time for more camping.
I'm really getting into this camping lark.

I will drop my kids back to there mums on Tuesday in Southend, I'm going to stay at my mum's place Tuesday night as i'm back in Southend on Wednesday, to see my ex wife in court,
Child Access and visitation rights, so I wont be blogging again until Wednesday night, with information on how the result comes out.

Break Time
Wednesday, August 24, 2005
Oh Dear!!!
I just had a look on the TFL website.
More problems on the Met, so time to go to work and have some fun again.
The end is nigh
Well after a poor start to my shift, it actually got a bit better.
The Mets resumed at 15:15 and we had the first Met train arrive at 15:47.
The Circle and Hammersmith and City recover to minor delays by the tend of the peak with all three running normally by 19:30
The central line though took a hell of a pounding today finally resuming around 21:00.
So look for the apology posters tomorrow on the way to work.
I;m finally home and relaxing with a nice coffee, sitting here watching a film called Willow, Sad I know.

Nice start to a day.
I started work at 14:40 today and this is what i walked into Met Line suspended Wembley Park to Aldgate both directions, Circle, HNC and District running with severe delays because of signal failure at Aldgate.
Central suspended Debden to Epping Faulty comms equipment (no train radio) and minor delays because of a signal failure at Marble Arch.
By 15:00 the Piccadilly line failed with a suspension between Cockfosters and Arnos Grove, signal failure at Oakwood.
It's now only 15:05 i wonder what is in store for the rest of my shift.
You'll never guess what happened on the way to work...
Today
There i was travelling to London, when bang all the signals outside St Pancras failed.
So the train i'm on is 10 minutes early and it screeches to a halt just outside Kentish Town.
We sit outside for over 80 minutes. And i finally arrived into the station at 15:45.
So as i'm walking down the stairs at Kings Cross to get a Met line train to work low and behold i come face to face with SANTA CLAUS, yes i'm not kidding I saw my first Santa of the year.

Nothing happened absolutely nothing.
No Trains, No public, No drunks, No Complaints, No Nothing.
I had one of the most boring weekends in ages.
Sorry about that but sometimes nothing happens. :(

What a week
I have had a complete crap week.
I started the week off arguing with my girlfriend, and after that it all went down hill.
I got home on Saturday to do a ton of washing, half way through and I'd done 1 white wash and then my washing machine breaks. I'm left with 5 piles of clothing this is including my kids stuff as I had them until Wednesday.
So loads of washing and no machine to do it in.
I headed out on Monday to buy a machine and got a nice Hotpoint 1000 which was delivered on Friday.
I carried on arguing with my girlfriend and by Tuesday i was now girlfriendless.
Wednesday came and it was pay day hooray. Unfortunately my car tax and TV license land on my door mate, along with a parking fine for a car that is registered in some one else's name.
So now i have to write a letter to the DVLA informing them that it's not mine.
Also my kids went back to there mums house.
Thursday all i did was argue and upset my ex girlfriend.
Friday arrived and i thought great i can get on with my washing. As i got home late and went to bed around 4 i set my alarm for 9ish. So I'm up early to do my washing and guess what, it's pissing down outside, so no washing today.
Saturday it's a dry day and I'd done 3 loads of washing yesterday and 2 today, i got 3 loads out on the line and another 2 waiting to be hung out.
Its 12 45 and I'm hanging out the last of my washing ready for when i get home tonight at 01:00 ready to take it in, I walk out the door to come to work at 12:55 and the washing breaks and down comes the clean clothes straight onto a gravel floor.
The only good thing about this week has been i spent a lot of time with my kids and I got a new camera phone for myself on payday
Engineering Works
Yes engineering works are taking place this weekend and guess what i'm working.
So stand by for one of the most boring weekends ahead.
I'm starting at 15:00 and have so much to look forward too.
Boredom Boredom Boredom and, oh yes more Boredom

A Nice quiet day except at 20 past
I arrived at work at 14:50 full of the vigours of life, only for the circle line to break at 15:20 with a service suspension because of a signal failure at Embankment, out go the P.A's and low and behold we resume 15 minutes later to minor delays, hooray.
At 16:00 I had the pleasure of having 6 yes thats right 6 revenue inspectors on my station for the remainder of the evening peak.
17:20 and the Circle breaks again, same problem, same place.
17:45 a good service declared for the Hammersmith and City line, which is great considering i didn't know it was a bad service.
18:10 Circle resumes to severe delays.
18:20 and one of my gates decides it doesn't want to play anymore.
19:50 As i was off unofficially last week (sick) I had a lovely visit from one of my managers today, he came to give me a back to work interview, which was nice.
The only time i see managers are when i'm in trouble. So guess what i'm in trouble again.
20:20 Guess what my manager left hooray.
The circle line resumed to a good service at 20:40 (from severe to good what happened to minor)
22:35 Hammersmith & City minor delays signal failure at Aldgate East
All i need to do now is wait until 22:40 then i can go home and be indoors by 00:20.
So this has been my day
Back at work
I took some time off work last week, so thats why i wasn't blogging.
However today was my first day back, and for a first shift, it was fairly peaceful.
I got into work at 14:50 and ther first thing a did was look up who was taking me off tonight.
Unfortunately the Supervisor who was relieving me is notourious for being dead on time.
Needless to say I almost fell off my chair when the door to my office opened and in walked the night turn supervisor 30 minutes early.
Now back to the girlfriend front.
I'm soon going to book a holiday for myself in october to go to mexico, cancun, I was supposed to go last year but my colleague and fellow supervisor let me down.
Sop time to have fun again.

Freedom rides again
Well I'm a single man again. After a great week with my kids and a fair week up until last Thursday things were good with my girlfriend.
But I just finished it as things aren't going well.
Station Master whens the next drink up.

The end of another week
Well I've had a pretty uneventful week at work.
No managers to have arguements with, the customers have been ok too.
And most important and i must admit boringly, no Station Master to abuse.
The Picc line is back to normal running and the Circle line is running a peak service only.
The times being 06:50 until 10:10 and 16:00 until 19:30.
So I'm off for a well deserved long weekend before resuming to nights on Tuesday and the best thing is i get to have my kids with me this weekend and we are off again camping to Wales.

Security Alert at Edgware Road.
So Edgware Road has opened again, and all of a sudden it's closed again at police request.
So here's what happened.
A man climbed onto the roof of Edgware Road Station and threw a bag onto the track. He then promptly fell through the roof onto the platform.
When the police realized the bag on the track was his, they closed the station for security reasons.
Contents of the bag:- A Bunch of SUNFLOWERS
Another day another dollar
I have a nice little arrangement with the night turn Supervisor over this weekend just gone.
Normally i'm 07:30 starts all week, but on Saturdays and Sundays we both do do double shifts.
So I did a nice 16 hour shift on Sunday night.
Sunday night wasa long night as i had a ton of contractors ripping my station apart, which is nice.
Monday I opened up at a reasonable time for once. instead of the usual 04:50.
My shift was fairly uneventful. So another day goes by and i'm still here.

I joined London Underground on this day in 1988 and at this time exactly 17 years ago today.
Somehow when i first joined this job, I didn't think i would still be here all this time.
I only h0pe it gets better soon :)
